You're busy. You don't want to spend your free time trying to understand if you're making financial progress. You don't have time to optimize your employee benefits, investments, and insurance. You want to know if what you're doing is enough, and if not, how you can change it.
Who has time for inspiration? You do.
YOUR FINANCIAL GUIDE
At Inspiration Financial Planning, we're here to be your trusted financial guide. We help you make the best decision for you, with confidence. We take the guesswork out of your everyday financial decisions to help you follow your dreams.
Understand your current financial situation, balance competing financial priorities, and plan for the future.
You deserve practical advice you can trust.
Your finances have gotten more complex as you’ve gotten older. You’ve switched jobs a few times and you haven’t had time to figure out what to do with your old retirement plans. You’re going through some major life transitions like getting married, growing your family, buying a home and moving, or getting ready to send your kids to college.
At the same time, you’re unsure if you’ve got the right knowledge to make the best financial decisions for your family. You’d like to master the basics and let someone else worry about the rest. There’s no end to the advice you could get from others, but do they really know what’s best for you?
OUR ROLE AS A FIDUCIARY
Wouldn’t it be great if you could find a financial partner to provide clear, objective advice and education? Someone who gets to know you and your family personally. Someone who understands how you arrived where you are today. Someone who can help you cut through the clutter and gain peace of mind.
Welcome to Inspiration Financial Planning. We help you get started, get organized, and get the most out of life, with the money you have, while helping you prepare for your future financial transitions. Instead of selling financial products, we practice what we call "Life-Centered Financial Planning".
We start all our engagements with conversations about who you are, your experiences and philosophy around money, and what's going on in your life. We will discuss your goals, your values, and what your expectations are of financial planning. How do you see your future and what are you willing to change? Do you need one-time advice or desire an ongoing partnership?
Next, we gather all of your financial data including Income and Expenses, Investments, Savings and Real Estate, Loans and Liabilities, Insurance Policies, Employee Benefits, Estate Documents, and Tax Returns. Instead of sending a bunch of paper back and forth, we use technology to aggregate your financial account information, capture your financial life story, and share digital files.
We assess all of the information you provide and figure out the optimal financial decisions you can make that will help you get more out of your life with the money you have. We help you prioritize what needs to be done now, versus what can wait. We take a look at different scenarios that can impact whether or not your plan can become reality. And when life changes, so does our work together, so that your plan is a living reflection of your current circumstances.

I created Inspiration Financial Planning in 2015 after seeing how hard it was to find affordable, objective, financial advice tailored to my peers and colleagues. My generation is balancing uncertainty in a number of different areas from careers, real estate, and health care costs, to rising education costs, aging parents, and longer life expectancy. It’s more important than ever that we make solid financial decisions as we navigate this uncertainty.
The world has changed as we’ve grown up. No longer do we graduate from college, get a job with a good company, and retire from there after 30 years with a nice pension and social security benefits.
I know first-hand what it's like to switch jobs, get married, have a baby, and buy real estate within a span of two years. I understand the challenges you face balancing competing financial priorities like saving for retirement, and saving for college or other goals, while managing variable income, and trying to keep up with all of life's changes that happen in your 30's and 40's. I can help you determine where you stand today financially, and help you plan to achieve YOUR inspiring future.
When I'm not helping clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband Rich, and our children Ali and Nate. I love to read, play golf, and travel.
Not at all. A big part of the up front, and ongoing, value of financial planning is organization of your financial life. Through working with me you will learn what pieces of information you need to pull together in order to create your plan. I will help you put them all together to get crystal clear on your current situation.
No. Those who have a partner in making changes to their lives are more successful. I’m not going to give you a big binder of paper and send you on your way. As part of my ongoing coaching service, I will provide accountability to help you achieve change. I will assist in prioritizing your steps and make sure you are supported through your financial journey.
No. As a fee-only financial planner, my only source of income is from clients. This is to prevent conflicts of interest, and allows me to act in a fiduciary capacity 100% of the time we are working together.
Once we determine the appropriate steps to implement your financial plan, then we work together to find services and products that fit. As an independent financial planner, my goal is to find providers that offer superior value and transparency. I seek to find the best solution possible at the lowest available cost. I work with insurance, legal, tax, and investment providers that I believe in.
I believe that low-cost, passive investing is the best way to maximize your returns. Based on your risk tolerance and time horizon, I will recommend an allocation for all of your investments that will help you reach your goals. I do not recommend specific “hot” stocks, nor do I believe that active management brings superior returns over the long term. I do not try and time the market.
When most people think about financial planning, they immediately think of investment management or “wealth” management. The problem with that is then you might think, “If I don’t have investments or wealth, do I really need a financial planner?”
Comprehensive financial planning is about so much more than investments. Every day you make decisions that affect your financial life with respect to budgeting, large purchases, employee benefits, insurance, and savings. I can help optimize all of these areas.
In a nutshell, our financial planning service is a process. It’s understanding what you have today, what you want to have in the future, and figuring out how you are going to get there. Inspiration might strike you at any point in your life and you’ll want to get off the path you are on, and go down a new one. If you have a solid financial plan, you will be able to know if you can follow your inspiration.
